Brand Mandate has been appointed by CORGI, for a six figure consumer campaign. The PR campaign will work towards maintaining and growing CORGI’s existing membership, alongside repositioning Corgi as a fully comprehensive provider of home maintenance services. The campaign is in light of recent changes to the official gas scheme registrar.

The Gas Safe Register took over the statutory gas registration scheme in Great Britain from CORGI earlier this year. This has enabled CORGI to broaden its remit for the first time. Mandate’s brief includes reinventing the CORGI brand, allowing the membership body to occupy new space and publicising new products.

The brand re-launch will position CORGI as the heart of a safe home. CORGI will provide the full range of services from gas safety management to warranties. These new service will be fronted by a consumer friendly website, which allows user interaction and feedback on the quality of service provided by tradesmen. CORGI will also be supporting its members by offering legal services, conflict resolution for members.

Rachael Sansom, managing director of Brand Mandate comments: “CORGI is a well respected and, importantly, a trusted household brand name. The development of their offering is an evolution that makes perfect sense, both for them as an organisation and for the consumer. Our job is to make sure consumers are aware of the breadth of services that CORGI offers.”

Ben Pratchett, marketing manager at CORGI comments: “All too often the homeowner is left feeling stung by plumbers and electricians, amongst others. They now have a site where they can find trustworthy and tangible advice. Brand Mandate will be assisting us in creating consumer understanding relating to our new, all encompassing, offering.”
