Mandate Communications has bolstered its consumer PR division with the appointment of former Frank staffer Jo Slatem.
She joins as a director in the consumer PR division Brand Mandate. She will report to Brand Mandate's managing director Rachael Sansom

Rachael Sansom, the Managing Director of Brand Mandate, has an essay on the rise of the citizen consumer in this week's PR Week:
"Consumers have always been able to influence brand or product performance by voting with their feet. But the rise of the citizen consumer is characterised by the instant power consumers now have to change a strategy, kill a product or, as in the Mars case, reverse a policy decision. As Mars' managing director said: ‘The consumer is our boss.'

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for… the 20 semi-finalists for the ‘Hush Puppies Design a Shoe Competition’ have been announced!
This Brand Mandate led campaign has been a great success, receiving over 700 entries and with some designs coming from all over the globe from Australia to the US of A!
Corgi appoints Mandate for brand repositioning campaign

Brand Mandate has been appointed by CORGI, for a six figure consumer campaign. The PR campaign will work towards maintaining and growing CORGI’s existing membership, alongside repositioning Corgi as a fully comprehensive provider of home maintenance services. The campaign is in light of recent changes to the official gas scheme registrar.

Doing its part to get Engine Business off to a flying start, the Brand Mandate team beat off stiff competition at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations awards to win the award for Best Website, Microsite or Intranet campaign, for our work for Kleenex Sneezesafe.
